Becky's Story
Indianapolis, Indiana Remembered by: Scott Pollack Primary disease of origin: breast cancer April 1980 It's been 29 years since I lost my beautiful mother, and I think of her each day. Mom always had a huge smile and always had a kind word. She was caring and always remained positive during her long fight of her cancer. Chuck Warman Remembered by Employees of MDS Nordion It is with great sadness that we advise you of Chuck Warman’s passing on September 1st 2009. In June 2008, Chuck and his wife Bonnie spoke to over 500 MDS Nordion employees about Chuck's battle with liver cancer, his diagnosis in 2005, how he learned about TheraSphere, and how treatments with TheraSphere shrank Chuck's tumours to the point where he was eligible for a transplant. Chuck was a fighter and worked tirelessly to spread the word helping many new patients discover this treatment. He will be greatly missed. On behalf of MDS Nordion, we would like to extend our deepest sympathies to Bonnie and their children, Jacob, Jessica and Nathan. In Chuck's memory, MDS Nordion has made a donation to YES, who tirelessly provides information, education, support, options and hope for those affected by liver tumors. Chuck's Story

Baylah David
To her friends at YES, Baylah was a pillar of courage and a fountain of knowledge. She had answers for everyone and if she didn't know them, she would find them. Her ability to research was incomparable and her gift of self unwavering. Even as her own illness was getting worse, she was reaching out to help others and trying to make their journey easier. It is hard for me to believe that I will never hear Baylah's voice again. For the past two years we have talked weekly and most often daily. My little girl, who is 5, loved talking to her as well. She will ask when the phone rings if it is her Baylah calling. She is greatly missed by our family. Her humor, her strength, her spirit, and beauty. Her name meant "Beautiful and Beloved". She was both. Video Interview with Baylah: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogPdfBp-IoQ&feature=player_detailpage
